Dear Dolores II

'Dolorem' is latin for sorrow or grief. Starting work on this display font I used the latin requiem texts for testing. The capitals sat well with monumental and solemn words. The broken hairlines suggested stone cuttings where the fine details had been worn down and obliterated over time and it felt at home in a church or in a monument park.

Adding lowercase gave the font a more personal and friendly appearance and opened up new possibilities for use. The name itself is a fictional message to someone long missed.

Dear Dolores comes in a cut and an uncut version where the fine details are left intact.

Both are excellent for headlines or memorable quotes.
